Interview: Mildred

To those who dont know you or your work can you give us a breif introduction to what your about
First i'd just like to say i find interviews to be a bit strange sometimes. people will get to read some things about me, learn about who i am i guess... Thats good, i like learning, but sometimes from interviews people get this image in their head of what the person in like based on responses and the words they say in reply to the questions. and what you think because of what I say in response to questions will make you maybe think i'm a certain way that I'm not. fuck it.... i'll talk forever. moving on


whats your background? Self taught or did you go to art school?

Well i'm from michigan and i suppose im self taught. Never taken any art school, but i still learn.

Looking through your blog you've got your fingers in a lot of pies. You paint walls, canvas, wood, found objects, stickers etc. Whats your favorite to work on?

Eh it's all the same. I like and hate everything for different reasons. Everything has different textures and colors and stains and weight and stuff like that.

Favorite medium?

Everything

Creatures are quite a recurring theme in your work, what inspired you to start creating them?

Probably watching too much ren and stimpy when i was a kid

Do you have any favorite peices of work that you've produced?
No

If theres anything you've got coming up to promote soon like a new zine, exhibition or whatever just type a bit about it and i'll just cut and paste it in.

Got my 3rd zine coming together sooner or later. it's called "SMOKING IS COOL"
